After doing a certain amount of writing for pay, THIS writer tends to feel contrary. Something builds up inside of me and I just have the urge to purge or throw something out there that is a bit off the wall (also known as "Random Writing that There is no chance in Hell They Will Pay For but I Feel Compelled to Write Before I can Write the Stuff they Will Pay For... Because I have a C4C to Prove it).
So I wrote the light, bantering piece and it got quite a response. Here it is:

I'm waiting to see if it gets many page views. I'm not making bets. I do not think of it as humorous or even well-written but it got attention. It needs serious revision and editing. I know, I know.
However, I do have this question, after reading the comments about two-seater outhouses being a norm - once, before indoor plumbing. Did the act of moving toilets into homes also change people's ideas about bathroom etiquette, social mores and all that? Did they decide that they could afford to be modest once they had a bathroom relatively safe from spiders, snakes and other frightening things that live outside and in or near outhouses?
If anyone feel angry at some bureaucratic ninny, you can read this and know I share that pain here:
