I found this link on Michy's message board---she's a member here as well. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing the link at AmishOnLine. Knowing the kind of person she is, I doubt she will.
Funny Times pays $60 for 500 to 700 word humor stories, if accepted, and you don't have to give up your rights. They also give you a year's subscription worth $25.
I'm going to submit something. I'll let you know how it goes.
Well, I did it. I submitted a humor piece to this market. Now I have to wait two months to see if it gets returned in my SASE or a check comes instead. I'll probably get rejected---Dave Barry is one of their regular contributors---but nothing ventured nothing gained. I've never see a copy of Funny Times nor do I know the age bracket of their target subscribers so this was a real shot in the dark.
If you want to read what I sent them, you can find it here:

Good luck and let us know what happens!
:)
And if you are able to send or receive visible comments on AC, could you give me a "heads up"? Appreciate it.
Update from my submission to Funny Times: I got a rejection letter....but let me tell you, it was SO nicely worded that they should get a prize for letting people down easy. The bottom line, according to the letter, is that my submission "isn't a good match for their publication." So, if you're like I was and had never submitted anything anywhere except to on-line publications out of fear of getting your first rejection, start here. They will be kind and gentle and you will have a nice letter for your scrapbook. LOL
A kind rejection letter can be a good sign but I don't want to raise your hopes falsely. I will say that one editor sent a little note, hand-written, on the bottom of a rejection letter and then accepted my next submission! I tweaked my next article and used her suggestions. I hope you keep submitting pieces.
